Accept USDC payments in WooCommerce

Stablevoy adds USDC as a payment method to your WooCommerce checkout. Your customer pays from their own wallet, and the money is forwarded to the wallet you choose, without passing through an account held by us. There is no monthly fee and no signup with documents: you sign in with your wallet and connect the store.

How a payment looks for your customer

At checkout the customer chooses Stablevoy and is taken to a payment page with the order amount in USD. They pick a network and pay USDC from a browser wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby, from a mobile wallet over WalletConnect, or by scanning a QR code and sending a regular transfer. The page follows the payment as it arrives and confirms it once the network has enough confirmations. The customer then returns to your store, and the order is already marked as paid.

What happens to the money

Each order gets its own deposit address. That address belongs to a small contract that can send funds to only two places: your payout wallet and our fee address. The split happens on-chain at the moment of forwarding, so nobody, including us, can redirect the payment or hold it back. If our service ever stops, you can forward the funds yourself from a block explorer; the recovery guide in the docs shows how.

Recovery guide

Set it up in four steps

  1. Sign in to the dashboard with your wallet and set the payout address, the wallet that will receive the money.
  2. Create a store, choose the networks you want to offer, and enter your shop address.
  3. Download the Stablevoy for WooCommerce plugin from the docs and install it in WordPress like any other plugin.
  4. In WooCommerce, open Settings, Payments, Stablevoy, and paste the API address, the API key and the webhook signing secret from the dashboard. Test the connection, send a test event and place a small test order.

The plugin requires WordPress 6.5 or newer, PHP 8.1 or newer, WooCommerce 8.5 or newer, and a store currency of USD.

Networks with USDC

USDC is available on Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain and Avalanche. On BNB Smart Chain it is the Binance-Peg version of USDC; on the other networks it is the USDC issued by Circle. Network fees on all of them are a few cents or less, and the customer pays them from their wallet. The networks page lists each of them with the confirmations we wait for.

Fees

The first 1,000 USD of payments to a payout wallet is free, once. After that the fee is 0.5% of each payment, taken on-chain when the funds are forwarded. There is no monthly fee and no setup fee, and the contract does not allow a fee above 2%. An invoice can be from 5 USD to 1,000 USD.

Questions

Do I need a crypto exchange account to receive USDC?

No. You need a wallet that can hold USDC on the networks you enable, for example MetaMask, Rabby, a Ledger or a Safe. If you want to turn the USDC into dollars, you can send it to an exchange later, but Stablevoy itself never asks for one.

Can the customer pay in a different coin?

No. The payment page accepts USDC and, if you enable it, USDT. A customer who holds another coin has to swap it in their wallet first.

What if the customer sends too little or too much?

Partial payments add up until the invoice expires. If the total is still short, the order is marked as underpaid. A payment above the amount is forwarded to you in full and the order is marked as overpaid, so you can refund the difference.

Does the customer need an account with Stablevoy?

No. The customer only sees the payment page and pays from their own wallet.
