Sell digital downloads for USDT and USDC

Stablevoy adds USDT and USDC to the checkout of your Easy Digital Downloads shop, so you can sell software, licenses, ebooks, courses and templates to buyers anywhere in the world. Prices stay in US dollars, the money goes straight to your own wallet, and there is no monthly fee and no signup with documents: you sign in with your wallet and connect the shop in one click.

How a buyer pays

At checkout the buyer chooses Stablevoy and is taken to a payment page with the order amount in USD. They pick a network and a coin and pay from a browser wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby, from a mobile wallet over WalletConnect, or by scanning a QR code and sending a regular transfer from an exchange app. Then they come back to your purchase confirmation page.

The order completes on its own once the payment is confirmed on chain, and Easy Digital Downloads sends the download links and the receipt as with any other gateway. An unconfirmed or short payment never releases the downloads.

What happens to the money

Each order gets its own deposit address. That address belongs to a small contract that can send funds to only two places: your payout wallet and our fee address. The split happens on chain at the moment of forwarding, so nobody, including us, can redirect the payment or hold it back. If our service ever stops, you can forward the funds yourself from a block explorer; the recovery guide in the docs shows how.

On Tron there is no contract at all: the buyer pays your own wallet directly, and the exact amount identifies the order. USDT on Tron has no fee from Stablevoy: the buyer pays your own wallet directly, so there is nothing to forward.

Recovery guide

Set it up in one click

  1. Install Stablevoy from the WordPress.org plugin directory, like any other plugin: in WordPress open Plugins, Add Plugin and search for Stablevoy.
  2. Open Downloads, Settings, Payments, Stablevoy and click Connect to Stablevoy.
  3. Sign in to Stablevoy with your wallet, choose a store or create one, and confirm. You come back with the API key and the webhook secret saved. Set your payout wallet in the dashboard if you have not yet.
  4. In Downloads, Settings, Payments, General tick Stablevoy under Active Gateways and save.

The plugin requires WordPress 6.7 or newer, PHP 8.1 or newer, Easy Digital Downloads, and a shop currency of USD.

Networks and coins

USDT is accepted on Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche and Tron, and USDC on Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain and Avalanche. Network fees are cents or less, and the buyer pays them from their wallet. The networks page lists each network with the confirmations we wait for.

Supported networks

Fees

The first 1,000 USD of payments to a payout wallet is free, once. After that the fee is 0.5% of each payment, taken on-chain when the funds are forwarded. There is no monthly fee and no setup fee, and the contract does not allow a fee above 2%. An invoice can be from 5 USD to 1,000 USD.

With WooCommerce on the same site

The Easy Digital Downloads plugin runs next to the Stablevoy plugin for WooCommerce. Each one connects to its own Stablevoy store, so the orders, keys and webhooks of the two shops never mix.

Questions

Are download links sent before the payment is confirmed?

No. The order stays pending until the payment is confirmed on chain. Only then does it complete, and Easy Digital Downloads sends the download links and the receipt.

Does Stablevoy ever hold my money?

No. Each payment goes to a deposit address whose contract can only forward it to your payout wallet, minus the fee. Nobody can redirect it, and you can forward it yourself if our service stops.

Which wallets can buyers pay with?

Any wallet or exchange that can send USDT or USDC on the network they choose: MetaMask, Rabby, Trust Wallet, TronLink and others, or a transfer by QR code from an exchange app.

What if the buyer sends the wrong amount?

Partial payments add up until the invoice expires. If the total is still short, the order is noted as underpaid and the downloads are not released. A payment above the amount is forwarded to you in full and noted as overpaid, so you can refund the difference.

Is there a fee on Tron?

No. Stablevoy takes no fee on Tron, and there are no contracts there: the buyer pays your own wallet directly, so there is nothing to forward. The buyer pays only their own wallet or exchange fee. Payments on Tron do not use up the free volume either.

Does my shop currency have to be USD?

Yes. Stablevoy invoices are in US dollars, so the payment method works only in a shop priced in USD.

Do I need to know crypto?

Only how to use a wallet. You sign in with it, set it as the payout wallet and receive the money there. Buyers see a plain payment page with the amount in dollars.
